Switches itself on every evening
RailGlow™ soaks up daylight through its built-in solar panel and switches on by itself when the sun goes down. After a good day of daylight it glows for up to 10 hours, so your steps, deck and fence look warm and welcoming all evening.
- Automatic light sensor, nothing to switch on
- Soft, warm white glow
- Free to run: powered by the sun

Made for British weather
Rain, frost, a dusting of snow: RailGlow™ is sealed against the elements and stays outside all year round. No bringing it in, no fuss.
On short, grey winter days it charges less, so it glows for a shorter time. That's normal for every solar light.

Frequently asked questions
Does it charge on cloudy days?
Yes. The panel charges from daylight, not just direct sun. On dull or short winter days it stores less energy, so it glows for a shorter time that evening.
Can it stay outside in winter?
Yes. RailGlow™ is built to stay out in rain, frost and snow all year round.
Which surfaces can I fit it to?
Wood, brick, concrete, metal and composite decking. Use the screws for rough or uneven surfaces and the tape for smooth, clean ones.
Can I replace the battery?
Yes. It runs on a standard rechargeable AAA battery that you can swap out yourself when it gets older.
How many should I buy?
As a rule of thumb: one per step, one per fence post, or one every 1 to 1.5 metres along decking. Buying a bundle saves you more: see the offers at the top of the page.
